Dylan Park
I am a Mechanical Engineer who loves creating and designing things. I am currently pursuing an MBA / MS Finance dual-degree. I invite you to see why I would be a great fit at Rivian below.

Mechanical Keyboard Design.
Designing elegant and innovative products is my passion. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of what is possible, elevating the user experience to the next level. The keyboard to the right, currently being prototyped, is made of only the finest materials. From the Gold PVD coated 316 Stainless plate to the innovative PCB suspension mount, this efficient design maximizes quality and minimizes production expense. Coming Q1 2022.
Deep Drawing Die Design.
My engineering courses at Oklahoma State emphasized manufacturing processes. This design was the result of careful clamping force, draw ratio, clearance, and many other calculations. The result is a dual-action deep drawing die that can be used inexpensively on a small 30 ton hydraulic press.

Oklahoma State Homecoming.
The largest Homecoming celebration in the nation. As Head Engineering Director, I designed and built the showcase moving part on our decoration. My design (below) was the only one in the competition using CNC stepper motors, winning our team the First Place Award for Engineering Excellence.
Finite Element Analysis.
This analysis was conducted to ensure the safety of users operating the deep drawing die set shown above. I used FEA to analyze the modifications that had been previously made to the H-frame hydraulic press. In this case, I discovered a critical design flaw due to lateral torsional bending of improperly mounted C-channel beams. By changing the beam positioning, I was able to reduce the maximum stress by 50%.
Make
/Buy Application
I developed this app as a platform for Textron engineers to automate the part sourcing decision process. I created models and flowcharts that guide the embedded recommendation system based on SAP data, machining capabilities, and more. Relevant part information is entered into the app and emails are automatically sent to the appropriate users for review. This process continues for all four engineering departments. Finally, the app estimates in-house and farm-out pricing and makes a sourcing recommendation to the final user.
